YH smsed hubby on Friday afternoon, and I too received a call from him, telling us that he will be flying off on Sat afternoon....

We managed to catch him for breakfast on Sat...phewW... He was like our long lost friend. Both hubby & myself have not met up with him for quite some time...We last met him, say 4 years ago?

Franco's 1st Bday!!

It was really a blessing to celebrate Franco's Bday. We were so glad to see him being so healthy and has been growing well....The last time we saw him was at the hospital, whereby Franco got to undergo heart surgery on the 2nd day of him coming to the world. Hubby & myself were so sadden that time. We went over to the Hospital to pray for him and his family....

It was indeed the joyous moment....his 1st Bday...!!!
"Heavenly Father, we want to thank you for answering our prayers...we pray that You will continue send your Angels to surround Franco, and may he continues to grow well under Your protection. Bless his family, especially PH & XT....may they draw strength from You and have Your Know-How in taking care of Franco" In Jesus Mightly name....Amen!!

Lunch with Colleagues...

Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh - 4th Mar 2010

My Boss is always so generous....well today ...Lunch was on him again...He volunteered to drive CP, PK and myself for a good Bak Kut Teh session!! I love the Bak Kut Teh there....It was real good...maybe it was a free lunch that made it tastier...ahahha....nah.....joking..
It was really good...

Vrouwen's Food Critic Grading for 'Ng Ah Sio':
Ambiance: 8/10

Service: 9/10 (timing - 11.45am to 12.15pm)

Service: 7/10 (timing - 12.15pm to 1pm)

Service: ........ coz...more and more crowded lar...

Food Quality: 7.5/10 (Coz..I still prefer the Msia's Style Bak Kut Teh!!)

Portion Vs $$: Definitely worth while!!

Cleanliness: 8.5/10 (I have not visited their toilet), hence will leave the 2.5 points to my next visit. Stay tune to my next few blogs...

Total $$: S$34.40 (4 person).
Soup base: Herbal - Strong, Pepper - just nice (Unlimited soup replenishment)

Braised Pig Trotters: Thumbs Up...Gravy was so tasty to 'Xia' Fan...

It has become a tourist attraction!! Not only me took the picture at this angle....but mind you I saw a few people taking pics of this restaurant. They looked like Tourist!! I believe this restaurant is well-known regionally!!

First Thai Restaurant - 2nd March 2010

PK recommended this restaurant. All together, 7 of us went for this restaurant for the lunch on that day.

I was deeply attracted by the pictures they hung on the walls. The respect for the King of Thai. They have some of the good old days pic of the King. Old picture of Singapore, where beach road was still very much beach places....ooooOOoOoo....

Vrouwen's Food Critic Grading for 'First Thai':
Ambiance: 7/10 (I love their antique set up)

Service: 6/10 (We went there around 12pm) - good crowd.

Food Quality: 7/10 (Such a fair marks for the food quality - due to their mango sticky rice - quite similar to the Thai one that we had)

Portion Vs $$: NOT WORTH THE PRICE. We were practically sharing all the dish! SGD 16.20 /pax for (1 Kuey Tiao Pak Si you/7 pax, 1 Olive Fried Rice/7pax, 1 fried fish cake each, 1 bowl of reen Curry, 1 plate of fried verge with mushroom, lime juice - SGD4/cups!, Thai Salad). Total SGD 116++

Cleanliness: 1/10 (The spoon given for our dessert were not wash - still with tomatoes source!!! YUCKS!!!)

Natas Fair - 26th - 28th Feb 2010

Natas Fair - Mr & Mrs Ng's Holiday??

New way to earn - Natas Fair organizer. They make us pay even before ppl sign up for the Tour!!

Basically, Mr & Mrs Ng were there to LOOK LOOK & SEE SEE....we din sign up any tour package, as most of the tour packages were for the Summer, Spring and maybe some Autumn. We wanted to take up a Winter package - Europe.
Dynasty Travel had introduced to us one of their HOT SELLING tour Package...which is to WINTER Time (starting from OCT):
PARIS, SWITZERLAND & ITALY for 14 days.
I longed for such holiday...but I believe we have to wait for the next Natas fair to sign up for it. Quite Ex though....S$ 4300++/Pax excluding Air port tax!!

We were at the booth...but were not very sure how was their service package. Immediately, we were checking online on the spot in some of the travel forums.
Almost 60% were quite negative....
I am still very neutral over this, but Hubby don't buy in to FIVE STARS...

Most of the members were still away for their CNY visitation/Overseas...
That night, we had a short word, prayer and a more fellowship together.

It was my first time having the Lo Hei as a newbie...I managed to take down the biggest Lo Hei I had this year!! I calculated the no. of Lo Hei I had this year ~7 to 8 times this year....

Me and my Boss gotten the 2nd & the first Price!!! Truly Blessed!!!
