Lunch with Colleagues...

Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh - 4th Mar 2010

My Boss is always so generous....well today ...Lunch was on him again...He volunteered to drive CP, PK and myself for a good Bak Kut Teh session!! I love the Bak Kut Teh there....It was real good...maybe it was a free lunch that made it tastier...ahahha....nah.....joking..
It was really good...

Vrouwen's Food Critic Grading for 'Ng Ah Sio':
Ambiance: 8/10

Service: 9/10 (timing - 11.45am to 12.15pm)

Service: 7/10 (timing - 12.15pm to 1pm)

Service: ........ coz...more and more crowded lar...

Food Quality: 7.5/10 (Coz..I still prefer the Msia's Style Bak Kut Teh!!)

Portion Vs $$: Definitely worth while!!

Cleanliness: 8.5/10 (I have not visited their toilet), hence will leave the 2.5 points to my next visit. Stay tune to my next few blogs...



Total $$: S$34.40 (4 person).
Soup base: Herbal - Strong, Pepper - just nice (Unlimited soup replenishment)




Braised Pig Trotters: Thumbs Up...Gravy was so tasty to 'Xia' Fan...
Tao Pok & Tao Gua: SGD2/plate!! Can't believe it!!

Take note: Operating Hours - 6am to 2pm ONLY & Monday is close...coz no pork in the market!







It has become a tourist attraction!! Not only me took the picture at this angle....but mind you I saw a few people taking pics of this restaurant. They looked like Tourist!! I believe this restaurant is well-known regionally!!

PK recommended this restaurant. All together, 7 of us went for this restaurant for the lunch on that day.

I was deeply attracted by the pictures they hung on the walls. The respect for the King of Thai. They have some of the good old days pic of the King. Old picture of Singapore, where beach road was still very much beach places....ooooOOoOoo....




Vrouwen's Food Critic Grading for 'First Thai':
Ambiance: 7/10 (I love their antique set up)

Service: 6/10 (We went there around 12pm) - good crowd.

Food Quality: 7/10 (Such a fair marks for the food quality - due to their mango sticky rice - quite similar to the Thai one that we had)

Portion Vs $$: NOT WORTH THE PRICE. We were practically sharing all the dish! SGD 16.20 /pax for (1 Kuey Tiao Pak Si you/7 pax, 1 Olive Fried Rice/7pax, 1 fried fish cake each, 1 bowl of reen Curry, 1 plate of fried verge with mushroom, lime juice - SGD4/cups!, Thai Salad). Total SGD 116++

Cleanliness: 1/10 (The spoon given for our dessert were not wash - still with tomatoes source!!! YUCKS!!!)
