Vietnam - HCMC 13th - 15th Oct 09

Trist and I were at the departure hall...and since it was still early to board the flight, we went shopping around. After getting a few bottles of Wine for our clients, we went to the "Roll-In Good Times Lucky Spin". We gotten ourselves a small cartoon pillow (No Thrill ~). I was planning to get myself a new wallet a few months ago, hence we went into Coach retail shop that morning to search around for my new wallet. I manage to buy myself a new wallet. It's much cheaper to buy before departing from Singapore than arriving Singapore.

With the receipt, the salesgal told us to try our 'LUCK' of spinning for vouchers. She reported to us saying that, there was a person gotten S$150 vouchers the day before us. With High Hopes in our hearts, we went to try the "Roll-In" again. I believe the angels of God were with us that morning, Trist gotten himself a S$50 voucher!!!! The day before, we were shopping at Jurong Point, Trist was saying that mum wanted to get a Coach Shades. So with that S$50...we gotten her a new shade!!!!

We arrived at HCMC very early in the morning - 8.55am (HCM timing). Trist signed on a 1/2 day tour for this Vietnam trip. It was a good day tour, as we done it before we started visiting our clients. Over at the 1/2 day tour trip, we learnt on their culture and lifestyle. Trist went to 2 temples to pray. I was the PG that day during his worship.

I quite like this old-styled Living Room or common room...

Look at the number of Motorcycles they have!!! HCMC ~ 5 Million Motorcycles....more than Singapore Population....hehhehe....

We checked in ~12.30pm that day...We stayed at "New World Saigon" under Marriott Grp.
Heard from the Vietnamese that, the Former US President: Clinton & George Bush stayed there before...

Pic: Our Executive Deluxe Room; whereby we were entitled with morning breakfast and evening Cocktail (which were served with lines of buffet)

We then continued our day tour after we checked in - lunch at a French styled restaurant...

The soup was soooOOoooo sweet....they added alot of sugar...which me and Trist were both not used to...we only had salt based kinda soup all this while...

The fish was also sweeten... vege quite nice..
I love best....their plain rice...

The Tour guide brought us around HCMC ....we toured Norodom Palace.
Reunification Palace (Vietnamese: Dinh Thống Nhất) formerly known as Independence Palace (Dinh Độc Lập) built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a historic landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu as the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War and the site of the official handover of power during the Fall of Saigonon April 30, 1975. It was then known as Independence Palace, and an NVA tank crashed through its gates, as recorded by Neil Davis.

They had a theatre there too back then...

Our 3 days there: Saw a lot of couples having their wedding shoot....According to my friend in Vietnam, he mentioned that it is very common there seeing wedding couples everyday.
The above picture: They were so friendly...and they gave me the permission to take their happy moments...the next pic: All the tourists turned their attention on the couple....

Post Office in HCMC

We met out client and he brought us out for dinner. It was a nice experience.
